Biography
Laura Green worked as a public school speech/language pathologist and then earned a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington. An associate professor at Texas Woman's University, she has supervised in the public schools and the on-campus clinic and teaches graduate and leveling coursework in language and speech sound disorders, language development, and research methods. She has been on the TWU Faculty Senate since 2015 and served as Secretary from 2017-2019. She has been on the American Speech Language Hearing Association SIG 1 Perspectives Editorial Review Board for the past 6 years and is currently the editor of SIG 1 Perspectives of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Her research interests include assessment and treatment of school-age language disorders, morphological awareness, literacy, classroom-based intervention in the schools, and the investigation of treatment effectiveness.
