Biography

Dr. Danhui Wang is an Assistant Professor of Food Science at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. She has a strong research background in areas of food microbiology and food safety. Her dissertation research focused on the development of rapid and sensitive biosensors for pathogen detection. Her postdoc research focused on the microbial metabolomics and chemical contaminants analysis with advanced analytical instruments. Dr. Wang’s current research interests include the investigation of microbial safety of fresh produce, the development of rapid detection methods, and using biotechnology for the upcycling of food by-products.
