Arts grad has sights on career in theater

Olivia Andrade

Olivia Christina Abigail Andrade is receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre in Acting and Directing. She says TWU provides the best of all worlds, including a welcoming environment to making new friends with people who are genuinely excited about their majors. Olivia found the programs are spectacular and still affordable, and she credits her professors with their support throughout her college journey.

Olivia was inspired to pursue theater and the performing arts out of a passion for stories and storytelling – a passion she draws from her family. Fables, histories, bedtime stories from her family instilled in her knowledge, hope, empathy and compassion.

She opted to pursue the performing arts because theater uses ideas, feelings and emotions to bring the imagination to life.

In the future, she hopes to work more professionally in theater in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, to pursue a master’s degree and potentially a doctorate degree.
