Dean, Associate Dean: Teacher diversity boosts students

Feb. 3, 2022 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University College of Professional Education Dean Lisa Huffman, PhD, and Associate Dean Gina Anderson, EdD, teamed up for an opinion piece published in the San Antonio Express-News.

The op-ed, titled “Teacher diversity boosts students”, is about the need for greater teacher diversity in Texas classrooms and how a proposed teacher certification exam could have limiting effects on bringing more teachers of color into public school classrooms.
