Next steps for the provost search

Dear Texas Woman’s Colleagues,

I hope you are enjoying the weather as we approach the autumnal equinox this Saturday.

As we announced at “A Million Dreams: Fall Assembly 2023,” we have begun the provost search. Anthem Executive will be on campus next week for meetings with various groups to begin building a leadership profile. The search firm will host an open forum for anyone interested to join on Wednesday, September 27, 11:00-11:50, in ACT 501. You may also join that meeting via Zoom.

Following a period of information gathering, the search firm plans to meet with the search committee, chaired by Dean Yelkur, College of Business and staffed by Grant Malone, executive assistant to the executive vice president of Academic Affairs and provost.

Once we post the leadership profile on the Leadership Searches webpage, please help spread the word about our provost search. Word of mouth is powerful in finding a match for Texas Woman’s.

Please join me in thanking the following individuals for agreeing to serve on this search committee.

  • Patrice Armor, Senior Manager Student-Centered Applications, IT Solutions
  • Dr. Erika Armstrong, Associate Dean for the College of Health Sciences
  • Rana Askins, Associate VP for Budget & Finance
