I want to thank Dr. Kim Miloch for taking on chairing the TWU Commencement Committee when she first started in her new role as vice provost for faculty success. We had planned on moving commencement responsibilities so she could focus on faculty success, but it took a couple of commencements before we finally found a new leader. I also want to thank Britt Jasper, manager of events, outreach, and communication in my office, for stepping up to lead the TWU Commencement Committee. Britt is a Texas Woman's alumna (Class of ‘18) with a heart for making events the sort of memorable experience that we believe our graduates deserve. With her years of experience leading commencement, vast institutional knowledge, and broad relationships, we asked Dr. Jennifer Martin to return in a consulting capacity as a mentor to Britt, setting her up for success. Dr. Martin has really been a huge help, and I am immensely grateful for her ongoing investment in the success of Texas Woman’s.

Please join me in thanking these TWU Commencement Committee leaders and all those who serve on the committee, the faculty who serve as marshals, and the faculty and staff who volunteer their time and talents at various of the seven ceremonies. You all show our graduates, alums, and families our #campuswithaheart through your spirit of service. Thank you! If you have not been a part of our commencement exercises before, it is one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences. The pride of graduates at each ceremony is palpable. Their joy is your joy!

With a Pioneering spirit,

Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.
Chancellor and President
