Closing the university on Friday, December 22

Dear Texas Woman's Colleagues,

Today, we begin our season of commencement — five ceremonies celebrating brilliant minds, hard work, and perseverance. These 1,544 graduates found their strength and determination in part from your inspiration, support, and guidance. What an honor and privilege to see their beaming smiles and shake their hands as they pass this milestone on life’s journey. Thank you!

In many ways, today is a celebration for us all in winding down the many successes Texas Woman’s has achieved in 2023. In gratitude for your many contributions to our accomplishments this year, I plan to close the university next Friday, December 22, a day ahead of the regularly scheduled holiday break. Thank you for your leadership and toils in pursuit of excellence!
