Celebrating the life of Dr. Anne Young

Dear Colleagues,

An opportunity of our journey on earth is reframing the loss of a dear one as a celebration of life. That is all I have heard from colleagues who have shared with me the news of losing Dr. Anne Young, professor emerita, on February 20.

Dr. Young served the Texas Woman’s College of Nursing – Houston for 42 years. She was a mentor to many there who remember her fondly. Associate Dean Paula Clutter said, “Anne was a lovely and brilliant individual who positively impacted many of our students and faculty.”

Please join me in taking a few minutes out of your day to celebrate Anne, remembering that much of what we enjoy is thanks to pioneers like her on whose shoulders we stand.
