Announcing the hire of our next general counsel
January 11, 2019
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the hire of Katherine Antwi Green to serve as general counsel and associate vice president for compliance. Katherine comes to TWU with more than 25 years of legal experience, including 13 with offices of general counsel at the University of North Texas System, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Texas System. She also served six years at the Office of the Attorney General in Austin. She is an experienced litigator, advisor, director, and even teacher. Her breadth of experience, deep understanding of higher education, and passion for the mission of Texas Woman's promise to serve the university well.
Katherine has agreed to begin January 15th and will fill the post soon to be vacated by Destinee Waiters, who has served the university with distinction since 2014.
While I know we will miss Destinee both professionally and personally, I am confident that Katherine will provide exceptional legal guidance and support for the university as we take our next steps forward. I am also pleased that Destinee has agreed to remain with Texas Woman's through January 25th to help with Katherine’s transition into her new role here.
Please offer Katherine a warm Texas Woman's welcome when she arrives on the Denton campus. Also join me as you are able in thanking Destinee for her service and to wish her farewell at a reception I will host in Stoddard Hall lobby, January 22, 2:00 PM. I look forward to seeing you there.
Best wishes,
Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.
Chancellor and President
