Farewell to Lisa Rampy
Dear TWU Community,
I write to share that Lisa Rampy, our vice president for University Advancement, has accepted a new opportunity at Grayson College in Denison—her hometown. Lisa’s decision is rooted in family: after unexpectedly losing her father last year and navigating the complexities of her mother’s advanced dementia, being closer to home aligns with her family’s long-term plan.
Lisa has been a steadfast leader and trusted partner at Texas Woman’s University, especially during a critical time for University Advancement. She graciously stepped into the VP role when we found ourselves without a permanent leader. She kept things not only moving—she moved them forward. Under her leadership, the university secured the largest gift in our history and celebrated a monumental milestone: surpassing our $125 million goal in the Dream Big comprehensive fundraising campaign.
While our campaign continues through 2026, we remain in good hands. Jaime Porter, who currently serves as interim executive director of the TWU Foundation, has agreed to step up to serve in a combined role as interim VP for advancement and interim executive director of the TWU Foundation. Jaime brings decades of advancement leadership experience—including prior VP roles at institutions like Thomas Jefferson University, Saint Xavier University, and NPR—and we are grateful for her willingness to take on this expanded role. She will be helpful as we launch a national search for a permanent vice president for University Advancement and executive director of the TWU Foundation. We will use this opportunity to recombine the two roles for greater efficiency and impact.
Lisa’s last day at TWU will fall sometime between the end of July and mid-August, as she finalizes a date that ensures a smooth leadership transition. We will announce details soon for a farewell celebration to honor her many contributions to the university and give our community a chance to thank her in person.
Please join me in expressing heartfelt gratitude to Lisa for her extraordinary service to Texas Woman’s and in wishing her and her family all the best in this next chapter.
With a pioneering spirit,
Carine M. Feyten, Ph.D.
Chancellor and President
