Center for Leadership Research and Workforce Development
The Center for Leadership Research and Workforce Development (CLRWD) is a program of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership.
The Center for Leadership Research and Workforce Development advances women’s leadership through innovative research and transformative education. We bridge the gap between academic excellence and workforce needs by conducting cutting-edge research on women’s leadership trends while developing and teaching the essential skills that drive career readiness and subsequent success.
Our work ensures that students, educators, and professionals have access to both the latest research insights and the most effective pedagogical approaches for developing leadership capabilities.
Our Focus
Our Research Division generates data-driven research on women’s leadership trends and maintains HerDataTX, a comprehensive database tracking women’s representation and leadership across Texas. Through original research, data analytics, and our public-facing Representation Tracker, we provide evidence-based insights that inform policy, practice, and understanding of women’s leadership.
Our Workforce Development Division translates research into practice by training educators and developing innovative methods for teaching essential career readiness skills. Through faculty certification programs, curriculum development, and industry partnerships, we ensure students gain the leadership capabilities employers demand.
