Vivian Orellana is graduating from Texas Woman’s Houston campus with a dual Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration (MHA/MBA) degree with an emphasis in global health. It would be an understatement to say that her path to obtaining these degrees was challenging.
Kinesiology team earns second place in NASA-sponsored design challenge

A team of Texas Woman’s kinesiology students researched, designed, fabricated and tested an wearable exercise device that could potentially transform astronauts’ workouts in space flight and took second place overall at a NASA-sponsored statewide design competition.
First Houston Grow Your Own students to graduate

Veronica Mata’s sixth year as a paraprofessional in the Houston Independent School District is just a couple of months from ending, but she is excited about the new role she will begin in the 2025-26 school year. Mata will be a certified teacher for Houston ISD after she graduates in May from TWU with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education as part of the Houston Grow Your Own program. She plans to teach second grade.
Education abroad experience leads to overseas career

Texas Woman's University graduate student Jackie Farias felt a strong pull to Ireland, leading her to participate in an internship program in Dublin through TWU’s Education Abroad. After completing her internship, Farias was offered a full-time position and has been living in Dublin since January 2025.
TWU alum finds purpose in Rangers outreach program

Jesse Malone, who graduated from TWU in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, is the senior manager of the Academy Outreach and Education Programs at the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. She is beginning her 10th season with the Rangers after starting as a youth ballpark intern when she was a junior at TWU.
