Show us your nest!

We’re hosting a contest for the best decorated spaces on campus. Winners will receive up to $50 in dining dollars, a TWU merch prize for the “most school-spirited” winner, and the option for a professional TWU photoshoot in your newly decorated spaces.

The contest starts Oct. 1 and ends Oct. 7, 2024!

How to enter

A TWU student studies in a cozy fort under her bed in Parliament Village.
  • Take photos or videos of the space where you live
  • Photos and/or videos to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter/X, and tag us using #TWUBestNest and @TXWomans and @TWUhousing
  • Participants are welcome to post a collage of up to 10 images (photos, videos, etc.) using #TWUBestNest and the name of their residence hall (i.e. Stark Hall, Lowry Woods or Parliament Village)

Who can enter

Only students at Texas Woman’s University Denton campus, The Arch Denton, and Red Point Denton.

Best Nest

We’ll have a total of seven “Best Nest” winners this year! Each residence hall will have one winner for the best-decorated room in that hall. We’ll also select one winner as our “Most Spirited” Dorm. We’re looking for creatively decorated spaces (with a preference for bedrooms and study zones) that show off your personal style and TWU spirit.

Judging and announcement of winners

  • Winners will be determined by a panel of judges from the TWU Housing office and the TWU Marketing and Communication office
  • Winners will be announced on the @TXWomans Instagram account by Tuesday, November 12
  • Room entries will be judged on cleanliness, use of color, creativity, originality, campus pride, and space utilization
