Denton Conference Rooms Policy
The Denton campus library has two identical conference rooms, located on the third floor. The rooms feature a big screen TV, a Windows 10 computer, a webcam, a Solstice pod for connecting your wireless devices to the TV, and a Lifesize video conferencing unit. The rooms comfortably seat ten people. Rooms 308 and 322 do not have phones or active phone lines; services such as Qwest conference calls using a phone line are not possible in these rooms. You can still use a personal cell phone, however.
The purpose of these conference rooms is to provide a place for library instruction, campus meetings, and dissertation defenses for the students, faculty, and staff of TWU. The rooms are available for reservation during normal library hours of operation.
To Reserve Room 308 or Room 322
Requests require a 24-hour notice and should be completed electronically. Send an email to Library308ConfRoom@twu.edu or Library322ConfRoom@twu.edu with your reservation request. Include the date, time and group that will be using the room. Reservation requests are reviewed by library administration staff and will notify you with next steps.
If your request is within a 24-hours, please send the room an email and follow up with a call to the Information Desk staff at 940-898-3701. Reservations are not guaranteed but staff will do their best to accommodate requests.
Acceptable Usage Includes:
- Library sponsored or co-sponsored activities and programs
- TWU Administrative, Department, and Division programs and meetings
- TWU Sponsored activities and programs
- TWU Student Organizations
- TWU Dissertation defenses
- Library staff will decide if the program or activity is acceptable when a reservation request is made
Access to the conference rooms is by reservation only. The rooms are locked at all times. The Information Desk staff will let you in the room, so proceed to the Information Desk on the first floor to let them know you have arrived. A valid TWU ID will be required at that time.
