Renew Materials

Active TWU library users may renew most library materials as long as another user does not have a hold request for the item(s).

Checkout periods and renewal options can be found on our Borrowing Materials page. 

  • Course Reserves, other reserve equipment, and Interlibrary Loan materials may not be renewed.
  • If materials are needed beyond the renewal limit, the items must be returned to the library in person and then may be checked out again, as long as there are no active hold requests. 
  • Users should verify new due dates. It is the library user’s responsibility to know when their library materials are due.

Instructions for TWU Patrons

Currently enrolled TWU students and active TWU faculty and staff members may renew items through their online library account, with the Library Mobile App, or with a library staff member over the phone (940-898-3701) or through email.

How to Renew Items Online

  1. Navigate to TWUniversal
  2. Click on Sign In
  3. Enter your current TWU credentials
  4. Click on your account name
  5. Click on My Loans
  6. Select the items to renew
  7. Click Renew Selected
  8. A confirmation note will appear, and the new due date is listed next to each item.

Note: if a new due date does not appear, the item has not been renewed successfully. Contact the Information Desk for assistance.

Instructions for Courtesy Card Patrons

All Non-TWU (Courtesy Card) library users may renew materials in person, over the phone (940-898-3701), or through email. Please contact the Information Desk for details.
