Clinical Program

The Mike A. Myers Stroke Center provides each patient with an intensive individually planned treatment program.

Services may include:

• Speech and language therapy
• Physical therapy groups
• Psychosocial support groups for family members and caregivers
• music therapy
• oral hygiene support
• nutrition and dietetics counseling

Prior to admission, a comprehensive assessment and an individualized plan of care are outlined. The Mike A. Myers Stroke Center offers treatments based on your level of communicative independence, and could include individual, small and large groups, and lab sessions. We currently offer sessions three days per week either in the clinic or via telehealth.

The Mike A. Myers Stroke Center operates five 6-week sessions each year.

The Referral Process

You may be referred to the Mike A. Myers Stroke Center by physicians, rehabilitation specialists, family or yourself. The next steps include the Mike A. Myers Stroke Center staff reviewing your medical records and conducting an interview/evaluation to determine the likelihood you will benefit from our services.
