Award-winning author Cristina Henríquez will share real-life stories of immigrant challenges that inspired her novel, The Book of Unknown Americans, during the 8th annual Jamison Lecture at Texas Woman’s on Thursday, April 13.

TWU produces Wind Symphony's first CD

Walking on Shattered Glass is the first recording by the Texas Woman's University Wind Symphony, and the eight works on the nine-track CD are a rarity: a compilation of the works of all women composers. The CD contains eight recordings made in a studio environment in the Margo Jones Performance Hall and one live performance.

Literacy and Learning launches Early Childhood Education undergraduate degree

The Department of Literacy and Learning in the College of Professional Education (COPE) now offers a new undergraduate degree program — the Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education — to prepare students to teach children, ages 3-8, and become fully certified in the state of Texas.

Center to launch third round of grants for women veterans

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE) at Texas Woman’s University will be accepting submissions for its Veteran Woman Entrepreneur Grant program, which supports women veterans in Texas who own their own businesses or are interested in launching one, starting on Monday, March 31, 2023.
