TWU Golf Course

Welcome to the TWU Pioneer Golf Course, a TWU and Denton tradition for 70 years!  Our 18 hole public course is located off Mingo Road on the TWU Denton campus.  

Tee Times:

The Pioneer Golf Course takes tee times 7 days a week.  To reserve your tee time, please call 940-898-3163.

New Refreshment Cart!

To better quench your thirst or hunger while on the course, the TWU Pioneer Golf Course is providing a refreshment cart on the course.  An assortment of beverages and snacks, including beer, will be offered.  Hours the cart will be available as as follows:

Thursdays from 1pm to 7pm
Fridays from 11am to 7pm
Saturdays from 11am to 7pm
Sundays from 12pm to 7pm

On a Course for Distinction:

The TWU Pioneer Golf Course, established in 1941 and the only public golf course in Denton, is being revitalized!  When completed, the course will include a new clubhouse, cart barn, course restroom facility, beverage cart and golf carts.  In addition, the greens, course maintenance and landscaping will be enhanced to make our course the pride of Denton.

We are currently looking for sponsors in the community to help make this vision a reality.  Sponsorship begins at $250 and is a great way to perserve TWU and Denton history.  If you or your organization is interested in contributing, please contact Robin Johnson-Piper at (940) 898-3861 or RJohnsonpiper@twu.edu.

The TWU Golf Course now has 40 Yamaha golf carts available!

Fire at the Golf Course Cart Barn:
The Texas Woman’s University Golf Course reopened Wednesday, April 16, 2008, following a fire that destroyed the golf cart barn at the course.

The fire broke out shortly after midnight Sunday (April 13).  No injuries were reported, but the building and golf maintenance equipment were destroyed.  Equipment and carts have since been replaced.
