The Division of Dance at Texas Woman’s University is dedicated to your development as an independent and proactive artist, scholar and leader. Our goal is to guide you in the discovery of your creative voice by providing uniquely challenging academic and performance opportunities at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level.

As a nationally accredited and internationally renowned dance program, we provide a diverse community of students, including many first-generation students, the chance to pursue their dreams of a career in dance performance, education or another related field. TWU’s Division of Dance believes that every body can dance, and everybody can pursue a college degree.

Our mission is to educate a diverse body of students in an inclusive community through skill-based practices and creative research endeavors at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels and to prepare dancers for fulfilling careers as global citizens, artist scholars and leaders in a variety of settings.

TWU is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD).
