Each year, our graduate students receive aid from assistantships, scholarships, stipends, grants and fellowships. Our program also offers full-time doctoral students many teaching opportunities each semester.

Arden Eversmeyer Endowed Scholarship in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies
The Arden Eversmeyer Endowed Scholarship in Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies was established to support a scholarship for a master’s or doctoral student in the MWGS program. Selection is made by the General Scholarship Committee. As long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress toward a graduate degree in the designated field of study, the scholarship may be renewed.
Arden Eversmeyer, a TWU alumna and LGBTQ rights activist, donated $300,000 to fund student scholarships. Award recipients are selected every March and receive $10,000 a year for two years. MA and PhD students are encouraged to apply.
Dr. Claire L. Sahlin Endowed Scholarship in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies
Dr. Claire L. Sahlin Endowed Scholarship in Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies was created in honor of Dr. Claire L. Sahlin. Dr. Sahlin is a Cornaro Professor and former Chair of MWGS. She currently serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the College of Arts & Sciences at TWU.
The Nancy Coyle Johnson scholarship is only awarded to M.A. students. The amount varies each year.
The Laurie Sanda Award
The Laurie Sanda Award is funded through a generous land donation to TWU to assist students studying ecofeminism, animal ethics, and related topics. The amount of the award varies.

A number of graduate teaching assistantships are available for doctoral level students, and other types of graduate assistantships may be offered to master’s level students based on availability.
