Dental Hygiene Clinic expands hours, seeks adolescent patients
DENTON — Texas Woman’s University Dental Hygiene Clinic is expanding its hours and now is available for patients age 13 and older.. The new hours are Monday 12 – 9 p.m. and Wednesday 8 – 5 p.m. TWU dental hygiene students provide low-cost dental hygiene services to the community as part of their education. Services provided range from routine preventive services to caring for selected patients with more complex periodontal needs (gum disease). Children are seen on selected days and times.
Patients will receive a no-charge screening exam to determine suitability as a teaching case before an appointment for services can be made. No appointment is needed for the screening exam, which takes 20 to 30 minutes. Screenings are done at the following times for the fall semester:
• Monday from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. and 5:15 – 7:15 p.m.
• Wednesday from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and 1:15 – 3:15 p.m.
Screenings are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The TWU Dental Hygiene Clinic is located on the first floor of the Multipurpose Classroom-Laboratory (MCL) Building, at the intersection of Bell Avenue and College Street on TWU’s Denton campus. Parking is available at the visitors’ parking lot at Bell Avenue and Administration Drive.
