Rangers, Astros host TWU college nights

Mar. 1, 2019 — DENTON — Play ball with Texas Woman’s University as the Pioneers head to Arlington and Houston for college nights! TWU Night with the Texas Rangers will be on Monday, Apr. 15 at 7:05 p.m. at Globe Life Park and with the Houston Astros on Wednesday, Apr. 24 at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park. Everyone is welcome to purchase tickets for the games and join the fun.

TWU Night with the Rangers – Apr. 15

The first 1,000 fans who purchase tickets at www.rangers.com/twu will receive vouchers for limited edition TWU-themed Rangers hats. Tickets must be purchased through the link to be eligible for the caps. To redeem the voucher, bring it to the Third Base Ticket Office, Windows 19-20, on the night of the event. Please note, you must pick up your cap at the Third Base Ticket Office before entering the ballpark. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and pregame activities will begin at 6:55 p.m. Festivities will include the TWU Pep Band playing the National Anthem, and the first pitch throw by TWU basketball coach, Beth Jillson.  

TWU will provide limited transportation from Denton to Arlington for current TWU students, faculty and staff who hold a valid TWU ID. Fans interested in riding the bus must preregister. Registration will close on Apr. 10 at midnight or when the buses reach capacity and all seats are filled. The buses will depart the Denton campus at 5 p.m.

TWU Night with the Astros – Apr. 24

The first 200 fans who purchase tickets will receive a limited edition TWU-themed Astros hat. To be eligible for the hat, you must purchase your ticket at https://groupmatics.events/event/Twunight4 (available starting Mar. 4). Seating will be in sections 410 and 107. Show your Astros game ticket to the Houston TWU Student Life office to pick up your hat. For group ticket sales, contact Dean Bisceglia at 713-259-8315 or dbisceglia@astros.com
