SEVIS Record Update Requests

Updates in SEVIS, I-20 Endorsement for Travel, SEVIS Registration Each Semester
I-20 updates are accomplished here for items like address changes, endorsements when leaving the country, registration each semester, dependents joining you from country of origin and practical training notations, etc.

CPT and OPT Requests
Approved Curricular Practical Training as well as Optional Practical Training is noted as appropriate in SEVIS, and new I-20s are generated with each newly approved assignment for the student’s files.

Economic Hardship
In cases of Economic Hardship, applications are reviewed by the advisor, and a new I-20 crafted for the submission to the Service Center along with the petition and other supportive materials.

Status Letters
Status letters can additionally be secured to invite relatives/family members to the U.S. and to apply for a Social Security Number (SSN).

Please NOTE: The international advisor also facilitates the human resources paperwork for F-1 students being hired on campus. A student must have a job offer on campus before applying for an SSN.
