What is Pioneer Camp?
Pioneer Camp at Texas Woman’s University is a comprehensive and dynamic array of activities for incoming new students the week before the Fall semester begins. These activities are designed to ensure that new students have every opportunity to connect with the institution, meet their peers, and meet faculty and staff. This year most of Pioneer Camp will take place online.
How do I register for Pioneer Camp?
All new students are registered for Pioneer Camp. It is an expectation that all First-Year students attend Pioneer Camp.
Is there a cost associated?
The cost of attendance is included in your First-Year Orientation fees that all First-Year students pay.
How do I check-in for Pioneer Camp?
All First-Year students will need to check-in for Pioneer Camp on Sunday, August 16 – Tuesday, August 18. Check-in will be open from 9:00am until 5:00pm on the second floor of the Student Union in the Southwest Ballroom. Students will need their student ID to check-in. Students will receive a t-shirt, blanket, drawstring backpack, Pioneer Camp supplies and schedule at check-in.
Why should I go to? Are any of these events mandatory?
Attendance is expected at all sessions and events. There will be chances to win awesome prizes and additional giveaways during some sessions.
