Texas Woman's alum returns to Hell's Kitchen
Sept. 28, 2017 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University alumna Michelle Tribble is no stranger to the fire found on Hell’s Kitchen, the popular television chef competition hosted by Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay. After coming in third in Season 14, Tribble has been selected to appear on Season 17’s All-Stars edition of the Fox network show, which premieres Sept. 29.
Tribble graduated from TWU in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in culinary science and food service management. She was a member of the first class to participate in the university’s Culinology® program, the nation’s largest such program approved by the Research Chef’s Association.
“We are excited to see Michelle back on Hell’s Kitchen,” said Angie Griffin, coordinator of TWU’s Culinology program. “She is very smart and creative. With her passion for food, she can take an ordinary recipe and fill it with flavor, nutrients and style."
TWU’s Culinology program combines culinary arts and food science training along with food product development. Students enter the program after earning an Associate of Applied Sciences degree from local community colleges.
Tribble came to TWU after completing her associate’s degree at El Centro Community College. The Dallas native recently moved to New York City to further her career as a professional chef.
“I appeared on Hell’s Kitchen the first time prior to attending TWU,” Tribble said. “I think the experience I gained at TWU and while working at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck in Dallas has made me better prepared for the creativity and fast-pace required on this show. It’s amazing what a difference a few years can make!”
