Jan. 14, 2019 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University has hired Katherine Antwi Green, a lawyer with 25 years of legal experience in government and higher education, as its next general counsel and associate vice president for compliance.

Green joins TWU on Jan. 15. She most recently was associate general counsel for the University of North Texas System, and also held similar posts with the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas System. Additionally, she has served as general counsel for the Railroad Commission of Texas and the Texas Commission on Human Rights and as associate general counsel for the Texas Education Agency and the Office of the Texas Attorney General.

As TWU’s general counsel and associate vice president for compliance, Green will address legal issues and oversee compliance with laws and policies as they relate to the university. She also will serve as secretary to the Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents.

Green replaces outgoing general counsel Destinee Waiters, who announced she was leaving her post last July.
