The Pioneers (21-9) are seeded eighth in the eight-team regional tournament, which will be played at Lubbock Christian, the top seed in the region. TWU and the Lady Chaparrals will be joined by Angelo State, Black Hills State, Colorado-Colorado Springs, Colorado Mines, Colorado State-Pueblo and West Texas A&M in Lubbock.

The Pioneers will face the host Lubbock Christian (29-0) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in the opening round. In the other first round matchups, No. 4 Angelo State will play No. 5 Colorado Mines while No. 2 Colorado State-Pueblo will take on No. 7 Black Hills State and No. 3 West Texas A&M will face No. 6 UC-Colorado Springs.

The winner of the South Central Region will advance to the Div. II Elite Eight, to be held March 22-23 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD. The Div. II championship game will be held April 4 in Indianapolis, IN.
