Summer Flute Pedagogy Seminar

Featuring Texas Woman's University Dr. Pamela Youngblood and special guest Sarah Jackson, Piccolo, Los Angeles Philharmonic.

This two-day seminar includes masterclasses and pedagogy sessions with Sarah Jackson, who has held the position of Piccolo for the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 2003. In addition to orchestral performance and teaching, Jackson has frequently been engaged as soloist and clinician on both flute and piccolo in Belgium, The Netherlands, Japan, the Czech Republic, Canada, and the U.S. This seminar concludes with Ms. Jackson in solo recital and with the seminar flute choir in a Gala Concert Tuesday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m.

 

 

Workshop schedule:

Monday, June 23,  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Flute Choir and Concert Schedule:

Tuesday, June 17, 6:00 -8:30 p.m. rehearsal
Tuesday, June 24, 6 p.m., pre-concert warmup; 7:30 p.m. Gala Concert
