Underrepresented Students Internship Prep Program

The Underrepresented Students Internship Prep Program is a 4-week, online program, designed to prepare undergraduate historically underrepresented minority students to apply for internships and connect with professionals with similar racial and ethnic backgrounds. Students from Black, Latinx, and Indigenous underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply.

Topics covered include:

  • Searching, preparing, and applying for internships
  • Tips for appropriate interview attire
  • Review of resumes by professionals from similar racial and/or ethnic backgrounds
  • Writing cover letters and open-ended application questions
  • Mock-interviews with professionals from similar racial and/or ethnic backgrounds
  • Using LinkedIn to brand yourself
  • Finding mentors as a first-generation Student of Color

All meetings held online through Zoom.
