Students of Color Internship Prep Program

The Students of Color Internship Prep Program is a 4-week, online program, designed to prepare First-Gen, undergraduate Students of Color (students from racially and/or ethnically underrepresented backgrounds) to apply for internships and connect with professionals with similar racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Topics covered include:

  • Searching, preparing, and applying for internships
  • Tips for appropriate interview attire
  • Review of resumes by professionals from similar racial and/or ethnic backgrounds
  • Writing cover letters and open-ended application questions
  • Mock-interviews with professionals from similar racial and/or ethnic backgrounds
  • Using LinkedIn to brand yourself
  • Finding mentors as a first-generation Student of Color

All meetings held online through Zoom.

Spring 2022 Cohort

  • Week 1 Meeting: Tuesday, March 29, 2022 | 3:00-5:00 p.m.
  • Week 2 Meeting: Tuesday, April 5, 2022 | 3:00-5:00 p.m.
  • Week 3 Meeting: Tuesday, April 12, 2022 | 3:00-5:00 p.m.
  • Week 4 Meeting: Tuesday, April 19, 2022 | 3:00-5:00 p.m.
