Public Disclosure of Student Achievement Goals and Outcomes

Texas Woman’s University aligns success with respect to student achievement consistent with its mission of “educating a diverse community of students to lead personally and professionally fulfilling lives” and “preparing women and men for leadership and service.”  To this end, retention and graduation rates are tracked and reported annually to the Board of Regents and to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.  TWU’s success in promoting student achievement is further documented by its participation in the Coordinating Board’s Closing the Gaps initiative, developed to ensure an educated population and workforce statewide. The plan focuses on reaching goals in participation, success, excellence, and research. Each public institution in Texas is required to meet annual institutional targets and an overall benchmark in these categories as established by THECB.  Selected goals and student achievement levels are presented below.
