Wearing masks on campus

TWU Professor Monique LeMieux wears a protective face covering

TWU highly encourages wearing masks indoors on campus, especially KN95/N95 masks to help reduce the spread of illnesses.

Wearing a mask is a sign of respect to others and a way to protect yourself, your friends and your family. In a way, it’s “Pioneers Protecting Pioneers.”

Face covering materials:

  • DO wear masks made of at least two layers of tightly-woven fabric
  • DO NOT wear single, thin (see-through) layers of fabric, such as neck gaiters
  • DO NOT wear face shields instead of masks, but it’s okay to wear them in addition to masks
  • DO NOT wear masks or face coverings with an exhalation valve
TWU's Oakley shows that the proper way to wear a mask is for it to cover your mouth and nose.
