Biography
Cindy Gill-Sams is a Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. For twenty years, she provided therapy services for hospitals, schools, private clinics, and home health and early childhood programs. During that time, she established the speech therapy department at Good Shepherd Medical Center and served as its chief before coming to TWU in 1996. Her primary teaching interests have been in preschool and school-age language disorders, aphasia, language development, and neurology. She directed the department's distance master’s program from 2004 to 2012 and received grants of over one million dollars from the Texas Education Agency for its support.
