TWU CAPS 2021-2022 Practicum Cohort

Willie D. Bass is a practicum therapist at TWU CAPS. He earned a B.S. in biology with a minor in psychology from Iowa State University. Willie received a M.S. in Pathologist Assistant at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. His professional interest include diversity issues, identity development, empowerment, goal setting, life transitions of young adults, and motivational therapy. Willie is under the supervision of Dr. Rakhi Sen and Dr. Victoria Henderson.

Mariah Gilmore, B.A. is Practicum Therapist at TWU CAPS. Mariah received her B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University. She is a 2nd year student in Texas Woman’s University Master’s program of Counseling Psychology. Mariah’s professional interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, group therapy, and multiculturalism. Mariah is supervised by Dr. Wen Chong and Dr. Kristina Rodriguez. 

Hana Jwaied is a practicum therapist. Hana received her Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of Iowa. She is currently pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology - Dallas. Hana's professional interests include trauma concerns and recovery, sexual violence/abuse, posttraumatic growth and healing, attachment/sense of belonging, and immigration and refugees concerns. Hana is supervised by Dr. Denise Lucero-Miller and Dr. Wen Chong. 

Marcus Moreland, B.A. (he/they) is a practicum therapist at TWU CAPS. Marcus received his B.A. (psychology with a minor in neuroscience) at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is currently pursuing his M.A. in counseling psychology from Texas Woman's University. Marcus' professional interests include psychedelic assisted therapy, depression, anxiety, anger management, multiculturalism, grief, existentialism, relational distress, self-worth, gender and sexuality issues, and ADHD. He is a dog fanatic and prides himself on his openness. 

Melody Parker, M.Ed., LPC-S is a practicum therapist at TWU CAPS practicing under the supervision of Dr. Linda Louden and Dr. Victoria Henderson.  She received her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University in 2000.  Her professional interests include trauma recovery, attachment relationships, and skills to manage anxiety and depression.  She also enjoys working with nontraditional students and those who are parenting while completing their education.
