Many TWU students, including Communication Sciences & Disorders students, receive financial aid. Types of assistance, filing dates and procedures are available from the Financial Aid Office. You also may be eligible for a scholarship. Check out the TWU Scholarships Database.
- Texas Association of Parents and Educators of the Deaf Teacher & Interpreter Scholarship: For students going into the field of deaf education as a teacher or an interpreter.
- Carolyn Yvonne Looney Scholarship in Deaf Education: For graduate education and/or teacher certification for those wishing to teach math and/or science to students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Applicants who are deaf or hard-of-hearing are encouraged to apply.
Graduate students interested in preparing for teaching and research careers in higher education are encouraged to apply for a competitive Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA).
GTA applications are accepted throughout the year; however, students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to be considered for all vacancies. Please note that students must be admitted to the graduate program before they can be awarded a GTA position. Find more information on the process and access the GTA application.
