TWU’s Center for Student Leadership maintains close ties with Omicron Delta Kappa (OΔK), a national leadership honor society. If you are selected to the Center for Student Leadership, you have the opportunity to become a member of OΔK.

The OΔK Circle at TWU has been recognized two years in a row as an "Outstanding Circle of the Year" and awarded the Maurice A. Clay Development Initiative Grant. TWU's OΔK Circle was chartered in 2013 with 33 members. It currently has 84 members and is one of seven chapters in Texas.

OΔK was the first university honor society dedicated to recognizing and building leadership skills. The organization spans the United States with 300,000 members and active chapters at 290 universities.

Members must exhibit the five OΔK ideals: scholarship, service, integrity, character and fellowship.

Membership Benefits and Qualifications

OΔK provides valuable networking and leadership training at its National Leadership Summit and Convention. More than 20 scholarships and grants, totaling $40,000, are given out each year to deserving members across the United States. OΔK also provides access to career mentors and internships.

To be considered for Omicron Delta Kappa membership you must be a junior or senior TWU Center for Student Leadership member, ranking in the top 35 percent of students at TWU. You must also demonstrate leadership skills in one of the five phases of campus life.
