2024-25 Flight Costs

TWU partners with US Aviation Group (USAG) to provide aircraft, Flight Training Device and flight instruction. Pricing/costs are established annually and are subject to change per academic year.

The base prices charged for student flight training are as follows:

Each TWU flight lab is directly related to a specific FAA Certificate/Rating.  The total time needed to complete is based on FAA requirements and student competency.  The following costs estimates are based on the following assumptions:

  • Primary trainer aircraft use for all single-engine flight
  • No fuel surcharge.
  • No Flight Training Device (AATD/BATD) use
  • STUDENT AVERAGE TIME for flight, flight instruction, and pre/post flight instruction.

Program flight costs may be reduced by the following:

  • Use of the Cessna 152 (weight restricted)
  • Use of AATD (class dependent)
  • Student proficiency in both knowledge and flight preparation
