COVID-19 Alumni Response
Dear TWU Alumni,
TWU is monitoring the rapidly changing environment related to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking a number of steps in response. Because our alumni are an important part of the Texas Woman’s community, I want to update you about how the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association will be affected.
You may know that TWU has decided to deliver all classes via remote learning through the remainder of the spring term. In addition, all non-essential events are being canceled, rescheduled or offered virtually.
This means all events that were being planned by Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association are being canceled, postponed or moved to virtual formats through April 30. We also have asked alumni chapters and affiliate groups to follow University recommendations on events and large gatherings, or local guidelines if they are more restrictive.
Please contact us at email@example.com or 940-898 -2586 (940-TWU-ALUM) if you have questions about the status of an event.
For the latest information from Texas Woman’s, visit the University’s Coronavirus Information web page, and follow Alumni Engagement on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date. More information about the coronavirus is available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including steps to prevent illness.
You can still remain connected to Texas Woman’s University while we take these precautions. Here are a few options to explore:
- Attend a virtual career and networking event
- Join Pioneer Network to share career advice with students and other alums—or get it yourself
- Activate your personal TWU Alumni Email account, which includes unlimited storage on Google Drive
- Share your TWU alumni story. Let us know how TWU has impacted your life.
- Volunteer with the Office of Alumni Engagement virtually through our partnerships with the Office of Admissions and Career Connections.
The Office of Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association will continue to follow the University’s guidance about upcoming activities. While we are taking these precautions, you may continue to reach our office by phone for assistance during this time.
