COVID-19 Alumni Response

Dear TWU Alumni,

TWU is monitoring the rapidly changing environment due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We are taking a number of steps in response to this public health crisis amid ever changing times. Alumni are an essential part of the Texas Woman’s community, and we want to update you about how the Office of Alumni Engagement and the TWU Alumni Association have responded.

TWU will offer a combination of online, hybrid and in-person learning options with classes resuming on Jan. 11, 2021. As of Dec. 2020, our academic calendar has not changed for the 2021 spring semester.

All events planned by our office and the TWU Alumni Association have been moved to virtual formats through at least May 31, 2021. This includes our annual Homecoming, which we will offer more details about in Jan. 2021. We have also asked alumni chapters and affiliate groups to follow TWU, state and local guidelines for events. We are focused on the health and safety of our community near and far.

We want to thank each of you who have participated in our virtual events since March 2020. We will continue to offer you opportunities to keep our alumni safely engaged.

You can still remain connected to Texas Woman’s while we take these precautions. Here are a few options for you to explore:

For the latest information from Texas Woman’s regarding COVID-19, visit the university’s coronavirus information web page. You can also follow Alumni Engagement on FacebookTwitter and Instagram to stay up to date. Additional information about COVID-19 is available through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Office of Alumni Engagement and the TWU Alumni Association will continue to follow the University’s guidance about upcoming activities. While we are taking these precautions, you may continue to contact us at alumniengagement@twu.edu or at 940-898-2586 (940-TWU-ALUM).
