Annual Giving FAQs

What is annual giving?

Annual giving provides ongoing support for the University offering unrestricted funds that allow the University administration to determine the needs, opportunities, and priorities of the University and fund those initiatives. The TWU Annual Fund is an opportunity for you to add your gift to the gifts of others lending strength in numbers. Gifts to the Annual Fund allow TWU to continue to be at forefront of innovation, empowerment of students, and excellence in education.

Is it true that every gift matters?

When you make a gift to Texas Woman’s University the impact goes far beyond any specific dollar amount. Your gift shows your belief in TWU and your conviction that the University will continue to be known as the premier public university for a woman-focused education, leadership development and graduating thriving citizens who have a strong sense of community, health, prosperity, and a sense of purpose.

How can I increase my gift?

If the Company you currently work for, or retired from, has a matching gift program it’s possible that you could increase your gift with matching funds. Contact your employer’s human resources department to see if this may be an option for you.

Can I make a gift online?

Absolutely. Visit our secure Give Now site to easily make your gift completely online. If you encounter any difficulty with the website, just give us a call at the contact number below and we will be glad to help.

Is my gift to the Annual Fund tax deductible?

Yes, all gifts to Texas Woman’s University should be tax deductible as provided by law; however, as IRS regulations govern your contributions, we do suggest that you discuss any tax deduction with your financial advisor.
