“Leah Edwards is a phenomenal advisor. She has helped me to determine which direction I want to go with my academic plan, while taking my needs into account in completing my degree...She is kind, and does not react with judgment. She shows passion for what she does. I do not know what I would have done without her guidance. Through her guidance I have been able to pull my GPA up from the brink and am now considering graduate programs. I wish I could keep her as an advisor post-grad.”

“Dr. Ho has gone above and beyond to help with anything and everything this semester. I had issues with my registration for my minor courses, and regardless of the fact that she is a nursing advisor and not a psychology advisor, she assisted me in figuring out who it was that I needed to talk to be able to register for my psychology minor courses. She is also always so positive which makes me want to be like her when I grow up. I am so grateful to have her as my advisor!”

Advisor of the Year

Janelle Davis

Janelle Davis
Department of Kinesiology (now Health Promotion & Kinesiology)

“As an undergraduate student and veteran starting out at TWU, my hopes were that I would meet and be advised by someone who could help facilitate my academic pursuits and also give me guidance that would put me at ease. Janelle Davis is an advisor that not only met my expectations, but continues to exceed them. She makes herself available, almost always has an answer and ensures I get one if she doesn't. I know that Mrs. Davis goes above and beyond because anytime she is mentioned in a conversation of undergraduate kinesiology students it generally ends with thorough praise for our academic advisor.”
