Chancellor Feyten takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Photo of TWU Chancellor Carine Feyten after she's just been dowsed with ice waterChancellor Carine Feyten had ice water dumped on her Aug. 21 by students as she accepts the ALS Association’s Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge is a way to raise awareness and money for research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as "Lou Gehrig's disease"). Provost Dr. Robert Neely and Interim Vice President for Student Life Dr. Monica Mendez-Grant also accepted the ice bucket challenge during the festivities. Dr. Feyten accepted her challenge from David Hodge, president of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has forwarded the challenge to Neal Smatresk, president of the University of North Texas, Renu Khator, president of the University of Houston, and Mark Rosenberg, president of Florida International University.
