Academic Advising

Graphic Design Majors are required to make an appointment with their adviser prior to registering for classes for the first time. You must bring to your first Advising Appointment: Printed Degree Plan and Recommended Sequence of Courses (completed to the best of your ability).

It is the responsibility of students to investigate necessary resources and information to help them make informed decisions regarding their academic careers. Students are encouraged to visit DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System), the TWU website and work with advisers to stay informed about their degree requirements, current institutional policy, departmental scholarships, and support services.

Internships / Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education (Internship) courses illustrate a growing and successful part of the graphic design curriculum developed through an active partnership with TWU Career Services, continued relationships with both on-campus and off-campus employers and early professional practice instruction for students. Beginning in 2007 and as of Spring 2012, external companies have offered permanent positions to 15.38% (6 out of 39) of TWU graphic design students employed as interns.
