Summer is for fun -- and for getting a head start on your future!

Students accepted to TWU as freshmen for the Fall 2006 Semester have the opportunity to participate in the Summer for Success Program, July 9-27, 2006.

This program is FREE to the first 50 students who apply, who meet the scholarship criteria, and who attend Orientation, either on June 12-13, 2006 or June 15-16, 2006.

In just three weeks, you can:

• Earn up to 4 semester credit hours before the fall semester;
  • Complete a 3-credit math course with extensive tutoring and support*
  • Complete a 1-credit class, UNIV 1011 Contemporary Learning in Higher Education - a course that prepares new students like you for college life, including university services, study skills, time management and more
• Develop many lasting friendships; and

• Get a head start on your first year at TWU!

  * Math class options are dependent upon placement tests:  Developmental Math 1113 or Math 1703 - Statistics

For summer fun, you'll have access to TWU's beautiful campus and all it offers:

• Fitness center
• Tennis courts
• Swimming pools
• Computer labs
• Movie nights
• Golf course
• Social events
• Road trips to DFW attractions

Full scholarships ($1,200) will cover the costs of tuition, books, room, and board in TWU residence halls for this 3-week period.  Scholarships are provided by the TG Public Benefit Program and TWU.  Scholarships are provided on a need basis.  Participants must pay personal expenses.

• Complete and return the reply card contained in the brochure.
• Complete a scholarship application which will be sent to you.
• Sign up for and attend Orientation, June 12-13 or June 15-16, to complete your placement testing.  Sign up on-line using the Denton campus Orientation website.
