TWU To Host Human Resources Games

DENTON – The Texas Woman's University Society for Human Resources Management student chapter will host the 2004 Southwest Central Region HR Games, April 23-24. Teams from the 10-state region — Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah — will compete.

The HR Games take on the form of a Jeopardy style match. Each three-person team has 15 seconds to give a correct answer and the match concludes when a 30-minute time period runs out or the game board is cleared of questions. HR game competitions are used to inspire and motivate students to prepare for professional human resources certification testing.

The games will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23. Competition begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, and the final championship round is scheduled for 1:15-2:15 p.m. with an awards ceremony following. Matches will take place in various rooms of the TWU Arts and Sciences Building, located at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Third Street.

The public is welcome to attend the competition.
