DENTON – University of Texas at Austin dance professor Holly Williams, associate dean in the UT College of Fine Arts and former head of the UT Dance Program, is the 2014 recipient of the Texas Woman’s University Chancellor’s Alumni Excellence Award. She is being honored for her distinguished career in dance, choreography and higher education.

DENTON – Texas Woman’s University is participating in The OpEd Project’s 2014 Public Voices Thought Leadership program, a national initiative to increase the number of women contributing to newspaper opinion columns, television and radio talk shows and other key commentary forums traditionally dominated by men. According to the project’s website, only 20 percent of opinion pieces in the media are written by women.
