TWU to host Power of a Healthy Woman Event March 2
The event, designed to increase knowledge of health risks among women and to raise awareness about disease prevention and health promotion, will begin at 8 a.m. The registration fee, which includes lunch, is $35. The keynote speaker for the event is Linda Noble-Topf, national advocate for disability rights, who will speak on “The Spiritual Power of a Healthy Woman.” Featured speakers include Dr. Joseph Valenti, an OBGYN in Denton; Dr. Scott Conard, chief medical officer at Compass Professional Health Services in Irving; Leah Scoggins, director of health risk management at Higginbotham, a Texas-based insurance, risk management and financial services company; and Mary Ann Michael, who serves as the health strategies consultant for the Texas and Oklahoma regions for the United Healthcare insurance company.
