TWU Leadership Institute announces its 2009-2010 participants

DENTON —
The Texas Woman’s University Leadership Institute has
selected 20 students as its 2009-2010 participants.
Students are selected based on their GPA, recommendations
from faculty and their leadership and activity in TWU organizations.
“These students
represent the best and brightest of what TWU students have
to offer as future leaders in their professions and their
communities,” said Ret. Maj. Gen. Mary Saunders, executive
director of the TWU Leadership Institute.

address a nationally recognized need for leadership in civic
affairs, volunteer organizations and corporate and entrepreneurial
initiatives. The institute’s mission is to advance the
understanding and practice of effective, ethical leadership
