Before taking the actual state exams, you must first take the corresponding practice test. Those seeking certification in areas without a practice test must receive approval from their academic advisor before taking the actual exam. Admission to the Teacher Education Program is required to receive authorization to test.
The TExES Prep Center administers the TExES representative forms, otherwise known as practice exams. The schedule of testing dates is availabe at http://www.twu.edu/TExES-Prep, where you may also register. Admission to the Teacher Education Program is not required before attempting the practice tests.
