BUS 5203 - Accounting Information Systems II – Modeling

Prerequisites- None
Students will learn to create complex models of budgets, capital expenditure projects, pro forma financial statements and project analyses using Excel and statistical tools including regression. 100% online.

BUS 5473 – Financial Statement Analysis

Prerequisites – BUS 2043 and 2053 or BUS 5433
An analytical evaluation of a company’s financial statements for management use and for the attestation function. Analysis includes horizontal, vertical, ratios, industry and company background. 100% online.

BUS 5483 – Accounting for Management Control

Prerequisites – BUS 5433 or BUS 3103
Advanced treatment of managerial accounting topics including: capital budgeting, analytical analysis, pricing models, learning curves, variance and capacity analysis, inventory management, and multinational considerations. 100% online.

BUS 5463 – Tax Research

Prerequisites – BUS 3063
Students will identify and understand primary and secondary source material. Identifying and formulating tax questions and communicating the results of online research is a major part of the course. 100% online.

BUS 5423 – Auditing II

Prerequisites – BUS 4423
An advanced study of auditor’s attest function with emphasis on recent developments using practice cases. Topics include: risk assessment, fraud, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley.

BUS 5493 – Accounting Theory

Prerequisites – BUS 3023
Emphasis for this course is on understanding accounting concepts. Financial accounting is covered at an advanced level and includes traditional intermediate and advanced topics covered on the CPA exam.
