General Requirements for All Masters Degrees

Option 1: Thesis Option (30 hours)

• Required Courses: 9 hours (Social Theory, Social Statistics, Survey Research)
• Electives: 15 hours (a six hour minor is optional)
• Thesis: 6 hours
• Comprehensive Examination: Written examination; may be repeated twice.

Option 2: Non-Thesis Option  (36 hours) 

• Required Courses: 9 hours (Social Theory, Social Statistics, Survey Research)
• Electives: 27 hours (a six hour minor is optional)
• Comprehensive Examination: Written examination; may be repeated twice.
